on 22/8/06 i went to phuket with my family. we stayed in a hotel called the holiday inn it was 5 star. it was really hot up in phuket and there where market stalls everywear. it was really fun.

In the holidays I went to my cousins house. there names are Caitlin and jack. when we got to to there house Caitlin and I made a hiding spot we made it really big but then it was not really a hiding spot so we made it smaller it was really fun then Caitlin's dad gave us some food and water to to eat and drink in the hiding spot while jack and my brother where playing something outside.the next day jack jacks dad my brother and my dad went motorbike riding.

Game Maker

on Game Maker we made our own games but I don't know what I'm going to call My Game yet. there are 3 difirent monsters there's 1 White ghost 1 blue ghost and 1 spider. You can collect things on the way like hearts to get more health diamonds,apples,coins and atoms. You can blow up monsters and to finish you go to the black and white flag then you will go onto the next level.

my potato update

my potatos name was amber but then I changed to roxy I made my potato a house out of a box I also gave my potato a car and as the caregiver I take good care of it. and it has started to grow roots my potato had sunglasses on and had hair but I took them off because the roots was pulling the hair off any way.
my potato has grown bigger. my potato is pink and kind of red.

Hi I’m Grace. Welcome to my Blog this is me at tsof

I am a year four student at Glenelg School. My teacher is Al Upton. Our class is called the miniLegends. Al picked four students to go to the School of the Future, two girls and two boys. I am one of the girls that was chosen to go.

In Al Upton’s class we have six computers so instead of drawing up things on the whiteboard you can do it on the computer. He also has a microphone which he speaks through, so when we get noisy Al does not have to yell. My favourite subject is computing because we can go on Game Maker and make our own games.

The Potato Activity

Al put 32 potatoes on the floor in the middle of our classroom. We each got to choose one potato.

We had to examine it, feel it, touch it and look at it’s shape, size and colour.
The potatoes were collected up in a bag and then scattered all over the floor and we had to find our own potato.

Human Rights – The Rights of the Child

This is our theme for Term 1. It is very interesting and we have heaps of books in the class room about Human Rights and the Rights of the Child. We have read books about people who can’t even step outside their doorstep because it is so violent.

I enjoy being in Al’s class and I’ve made a lot of new friends.
